The 2025 Saskatoon Fringe has now concluded but please stay tuned for outdoor performer applications to join us at the 2026 Fringe Festival from July 30th – August 8th, 2026. Applications typically open in Feb/March.

What is a busker?

Fringe buskers are any type of outdoor artist interested in performing outdoors at the Saskatoon Fringe Festival. Buskers traditionally make their income through tips supplied by the crowd.

Types of buskers include but aren’t limited to:
Circle buskers – e.g. fire breathers, acrobats, dance troupes, circus acts, music bands
Pop up buskers – e.g. magicians, individual/acoustic musicians
Roaming buskers – e.g. living statues, mimes, individual clowns
Baby buskers – any of the above artists who are under the age of 18 and just getting started in their busking career!
